Folders from old accounts won't delete

I recently did a non-destructive system recovery and had
to set up new accounts for everyone in my family, but an
old user folder won't delete (the account it used to be a
part of was password protected). How can I get this
folder deleted and recover the disk space? TIA for your
help.

What happens when you try to delete the folder? For permissions issue, Take Ownership of that folder and delete it:

Login as Administrator from Safe mode (XP Home):
