Anyone successfully installed the programme 'Folderbox' for Baxbex software
on a winXP machine?
Link: http://www.baxbex.com/downloads.html

I can only get it to run once then explorer shuts down with "...problem
encountered and needs to close".
Pity since it looks like a very useful programme.

Tis crippleware IMHO;

****QUOTE****

Benefits of FolderBox Pro:

Handles up to 10 FolderBoxes (instead of 5)
Adds a button to default toolbar of Explorer to turn FolderBox quickly on
(or off) without having to go into the View menu.
Allows commercial use (companies, goverment, home-office)
Free support

FolderBox PRO can be purchased for only US $15.00

Keeping it FREE!

Crippleware? Why do they say 'free' for private use but limited to 5 boxes?
If that's the case I reckon I shall stay clear of it!
Thanks Steven

Dan was thinking very hard :

It (v1.2) works on my system. I notice that there is one setting on the
Options menu called "Save and restore" and a red comment saying "Note:
this fails on some machines". I wonder if this is the case on yours?
You might be able to find this setting which is on by default in the
registry and turn it off.

Hi Toad,

You are quite correct. Turning off this option does stop the error message.
The only downside is that each time explorer is opened I have to go and
re-open folderbox.
