Is there any way to customize the folder views?

Can you be a bit more specific?

Windows has a default folder view as "Icons". But can I change this
default view to "Details". So that whenever I open a folder, I need
not change the view to "details".

Close *all* open windows/applications.
Open one copy of 'My Computer' or 'Windows Explorer'.
Under the 'View" menu, change the look to the one you want.
Also - sort the columns the way you desire.
Under 'Tools' --> 'Folder Options...', go to the 'View' tab.
Ensure that everything under 'Advanced Settings' is set the way you desire.
Click on 'Apply' if it is available.
Then - click on 'Apply to All Folders' and when it asks the question, select
'Yes'.
Click on 'OK'.
Close the 'My Computer' or 'Windows Explorer' window.

That should do it - should set all folders to be the same.
