Folder View Problem...

How can I get the folder views to stay locked in detail mode? I have done
searaches for this and have applied the information properly, but nothing
seems to make it stay locked - it keeps reverting back to icons. Windows XP
Pro..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Try starting in "my documents" set to detail view,then open all other folders
one at a time,and set them to the same (my computer,control-panel,etc)....

Set a folder to Details.
Then clock Tools | Folder Options | View and Apply to All Folders.
