Folder View Options

How do I allow various folders to use different view settings. When I set
one folder. I have 3 folders containing photo files. One contains a very
large number of files so I would prefer to see them in list form. The other
2 folders, my preference would be thumbnails. When I change view
preferences in one file, all my photo files change to that setting.

Thanks for your help,
BEK

Try this:
Go to Control Panel, Folder Options, View tab, scroll down
and put a check mark on "Remember each folder's view
settings", then hit Apply and OK. Hope this works for you.

Good Luck !

I've struggled with this problem of setting folders to
different views, sizes, and positions. Within a short
time or work sessions the settings are all lost and revert
to the Details View list option.

I have tried repeatedly to set the "Remeber each folder's
view setting", but it fails to control the setting I
choose. It wastes a lot of time resetting each folder
individually.

Does anyone have a better fix?
