Folder view in Windows Explorer won't display

It happen when running Windows updates on my dial-in
server. I reinstalled the service pack but it didn't help.
Also add/remove programs will no longer come up. Any ideas
out there. I really do not want to reload the OS due to
all the applications I have running on it.
 
Yeah. I'm having the same problem.

Recently reinstalled the OS on my PC and ran Windows update to get it
all up to date.

I'm not sure which of the patches broke explorer. I was logged in as
Administrator when I ran windows update, but I logged in as a
different user (with Administrator privaliges) when it rebooted.

Half way through the post-reboot Windows Update dialog, explorer
crashed and I restarted it with Task Manager.

I've yet to solve the problem - I suspect I'll put up with it for a
few weeks and reinstall again.
