a while back, i was using windows 98+. during that time,
i chose to customize my document folder so that the text
colour would be white, and i would use a .gif file that
was essentially a black square that would tile to fit the
folder size. there wasnt any special trick to it, i did
it all legitimately using the "customize folder..."
option. i have since upgraded to windows xp and have
found that i can no longer change the text color in my
folder. It remains white, no matter how many times i try
to change it in the display properties. i have tried
everything i have seen, and fear that my only recourse is
to screw around in the registry. suggestions?
