In general, communication between computers in different IP ranges
(subnets) via TCP/IP requires:

1. A router that has connections to both ranges.

2. Route table entries on all computers defining how to use the router
to reach the other IP range.

That's not easy to set up. A simpler solution would be to add a
second network adapter to your workstation so that it has connections
to both IP ranges.

How to connect to the other floor? Run a network cable, use a
wireless network, or use a powerline network.
