I am the poor excuse of an administrator for a small
network of 4 PCs using 2000 Pro. I've had problems with
users getting access to specific folders they don't need
to see. As administrator, I used my profile to set up
password sharing of folders thinking this ould limit
access. WRONG!
I went into one profile that I knew the password and tried
to go into the folder and succeeded with no problems.
I went back into my profile and using Windows Explorer
looked at the folders to make sure folder sharing was
being used. It was. In the other profile I saw no folder
sharing symbols.
What am I doing wrong? How do I set up limited access for
certain users to enter specific folders? Surely not
through the individual profies!
