I am trying to share a folder over a network so that I
can access/alter it from another computer when I am
signed into that computer with my username. I do not
want others to have the same privileges. When I go to
add my username under security in the file security
properties, the only location that it offers is my
current computer. It does not list any of the other
computers on the network so that I can select them. The
only way that I can get the file to be shared to the
other computer is if I choose "everyone". I do not want
to use this option, though, because I do not want to give
everyone access to my files. Any help that can be
offered telling me how to get the other computers to show
up in the locations selection would be greatly
appreciated!! I can see the other computers in the
network neighborhood.

you should setup permission on remote computer and no the current one which
you are using. for example, if you are using A and want to access B, go to B
to setup permission. also make sure B is enabled sharing.
