Hi All
Is it possible to redirect My Documents folder on a local machine to a
Mapped drive located on a file server using group policy.
We are using Server 2000 with AD and the workstaions are all XP. All users
log on to the domain
PS Our users do not have access the the local C:\ drive.

my users have home drives h: (\\novgaro.ru\files$\home\%username%). and in
group policy i use path \\novgaro.ru\files$\home\%username%\myDocs. Path
h:\myDocs did not work correctly, because at moment, when group policy
applied, network drives did not mapped. i think, this way is recomended.

Here is some more info on this topic:

"Currently, the use of mapped network drives and environment variables is
not supported in folder redirection. To use the Folder Redirection group
policy, you must specify a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path such as
\\<ServerName>\<ShareName> as the target folder location." - This is because
there is no guarantee the drive will be mapped when we need it for folder
redirection - Buz
