Folder Redirection security policy

I have folder redirection set for My Documents, with the Exclusive option
set. I recently over-rode the permission on a few users' folders, but now I
would like Windows to reapply the original Exclusive policy over them. How
can I do this? Or do I just have to re-do it myself manually?

Hi Tim,

Thank you for posting!

Have you tried to uncheck "Grant the user exclusive rights to My Documents"
click the Apply button and then check the option again, and then click
Apply button?

Have a good day!

Hi Tim,

How is everything going? I wonder if uncheck and check the option "Grant
the user exclusive rights to My Documents" works on your side.

We can follow the below steps to do this.

1. Click "Start", ping to "Progams", and then "Administrative Tools"
2. Click to start "Active Directory Users and Computers"
3. Right-click the domain or the O, and then click Properties.
3. Click the Group Policy tab on the domain properties dialog box to vie
the default domain policy.
4. Click Edit button, it will start the Group Policy Console
5. Expand "Use Configuration" and then "Windows Settings"
6. Highlight "Folder Redirection", right click "My Documents" and choose
Properties form the context menu
7. In Settings tab, uncheck the option "Grant the user exclusive rights to
My Documents" click Apply button. Check the option again, and then click Ok
button to apply the settings.

I hope that I have explained clearly.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Have a nice day!
