Folder redirection problem

I have a GPO for my users to redirect the My Documents folder to a server
share. It seems to work fine on the LAN, but only a third of the remote
computers are actually redirecting. There are lots of settings in the GPO and
all of the other settings seem to work fine. The PC's are across VPN's over
512K T-1's.

Folder redirection will not be processed if a slow link is detected,
although you can use a Group Policy setting to specify what you consider a
slow link to be, or even turn slow link detection off altogether. There are
certain policies, such as security policies, that always get applied
regardless of slow link detection settings so that may explain why you see
some policies apply but not others. The first step to troubleshoot would be
to run gpresult on the client, this should tell you what policies are being
applied.
 
You also have to look to see if they are attaching via cached credentials,
if so this won't be processed at all.
