Hi
Is it possible to stop a folder from bieng published. I have a folder which
I work on on the server and I don't want to overwrite it when I publish the
web
Thanks
Paul M

When publishing from local to remote, if you don't want to overwrite the
file on the remote that you work on...on the local machine, in Folder List,
right click on the file and choose Don't Publish - I think it works remote
to local as well if you mark it on the remote .

Or convert the folder to subweb / subsite.

Thanks Thomas
So if I call the subweb say "store" then publish my web, frontpage will not
publish the contents of the subweb even though the folder is still in the
root / htdocs of my main web
Paul M

Correct, as long as you don't have subwebs / sites selected in the publishing dialog. Also you may
have to also make the "store" folder on the live/remote server a subweb/site as well.
