Mary

Hi,
The problem which iam facing is that in the default user there is no
"Folders options..." Tab in the Tools menu in the Windows Explorer. Can
anyone please tell me the registry key for
" Tools-->FolderOptions " Tab in the Windows Explorer.
I have already spent one day on this. Can anyone please help me out.

Thanks in advance,
Mary.

Mary,

The "Folder Options..." menu item implementation is in browserlc.dll. Therefore you must have "Primitive: Browselc" component in
your image.
If you had the "Internet Explorer" component in your image and auto-resolved its dependencies, you'd have the Browselc included.
(I'm not sure why Microsoft developers decided to explore the Browselc component from Explore App dependencies but it is not there
:-( )

Just to save you some time, I'd recommend you also include "Primitive: Browseui" component. (although if you got Taskbar you likely
have this component included already).

KM,

Firstly i would like to thank you for replying to most of the mailsin the
News Group.Thanks once again.
I have both the components included in the build. The thing here is in
Administrator mode i can see this "Folder options...."Tab where as in the"
DefaultUser" mode i cannot see this option.....Please help.

Thanks,
Mary.

Mary,

I misunderstood your original question. I just couldn't understand what you meant by the default user :-)

Anyway, for the user you meant please review the user registry hive and verify if the following policy is set:
[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer],"NoFolderOptions"

If it is set to 1, change it to 0. Or remove the vaue. Reboot (or re-login).

You best bet would be to set the value to 0 for all users under
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] in TD.
