My Folder Options missing in the view menu and it is not in the tools menu.
I am using windows ME upgraded from 98SE

I don't follow why you posted this to an IE6 group but Win ME does not
have Folder Options in the View menu in Explorer, although it should
be in the Tools menu.
Have you looked in Control Panel?
Win ME should have it in Start-Settings-Control Panel-Folder options.

Go to the Run box and run "scanreg /restore" lose qauotes and space after G.
You can also run sfc.exe which may scan for a damaged file and replace
it --that started in Win 98.

When you go online, you are using Internet Explorer. Folder Options is
not in the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, only Windows Explorer.

Thanks Allen. I guess I have a lot to learn.
