folder options for viewing emails

I am using XP-Home and when i try to open an attachment on some emails a
screen prompts me"the file does not have a program associated with performing
this action.create an assosciation in the folder option control panel"This
seems to happen with emails associated with power point attachments.I've got
power point 2003 which normally runs fine.I have had a look at the folder
options but i'm not sure what to touch.Can you give me an idea of what i may
need to change so i don't destroy or change other files by accident?

Is it a possibility that the .pps, .ppt, etc files were created using PowerPoint
2007? If they are and you do not have the compatibility pack installed, you can get
it here:

Unable to open .PPS attachments directly from Outlook Express

I was unable to open through outlook express but i was able to save to my
desk top to view.Problem solved.
