I was messing arround on the Elder Geek website

http://www.theeldergeek.com/index.htm

and got to fiddling with folder options. Well to make a long story
short, I altered the file types - folder options - file folders so
that the default option is to open with explorer. Now when I double
click on a file folder it opens in a new window.

I want to get back to where when I double click on a folder it opens
in the same window.

Before I made the change there was only the option "find" and it was
not in bold type which I assume means that it was not the default
action. Now I want to delete the open option and not have any default
option for file folders but the delete option under advanced is greyed
out.

Is there a way to do this? I hope.

Thanks for any replies.

In any Explorer window, from the menu select Tools, the Folder Options.
On the General tab of the Folder Options pop-up window, you'll see a
choice between "Open each folder in the same window" and "Open each
folder in its own window". You want to change back to the latter by
clicking its radio button.

Already did that, it has no effect. I also managed to de-select open
as the default action in "file folders" that also has no effect.
