Folder on NTFS Harddisk that con not be deleted or renamed

Hello!

Notekeeper has created a folder with "EXCEL " including the ending space.
This space can not be deleted or renamed and then deleted.
I have made chkdsk from the Windows Recovery Console and from WindowsXP when
booting, I have defragmeted this harddisk, I have tried everything I know!

It is a "unknown" object:

dir

16.11.2003 17:34 <DIR> .
16.11.2003 17:34 <DIR> ..
28.11.2003 15:52 <DIR> EXCEL
0 Datei(en) 0 Bytes

F:\Temp\xxxEXCELxxx>rd "EXCEL "
Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden.

F:\Temp>del xxxEXCELxxx
Möchten Sie "F:\Temp\xxxEXCELxxx\*" löschen (J/N)? j

F:\Temp>cd xxxEXCELxxx

F:\Temp\xxxEXCELxxx>dir

Verzeichnis von F:\Temp\xxxEXCELxxx

16.11.2003 17:34 <DIR> .

Can anybody help me to delete this trash which soils my PC??

Are you sure it's a space? try going to a command line, and try
deleting EXCEL? or EXCEL*
