Hello.
I use the rows in offline for my job at this point from some years (window
2000) without large problems.
Lately it happens often that when I connect myself to the net comes to me
marked l' error " \ \ server_name \ share_name. The parameter is incorrect. "
In the technical support of microsoft I have already since it is possible to
re-initialize the database of cache. Re-initialize of cache losses of all the
modifications made in offline. It is not possible to make a " maintenance of
this cache of the data in way d not to lose the made modifications? and ONLY
possible to re-initialize the DB? why lately it happens to me often? Thanks
to all for the answers.

Hi everyone. I would like to know if someone has a solution about the
problem that i am going to explain you. I often utilise “offline files†for
my works since few years ago (since windows 2000 came out) without any big
problems.
Lately on my brandnew lap-top that i’ve bought, it often happens that
when i try to connect to my own server an error comes out
“\\name_server\name_sharing. Parameter not correct."
On Microsoft technical support, i have already seen that it is possible
restart the cache database, thing which lately i have been making many
times.
The cache reboot must be done “in case of suspect damageâ€.
The problem is that all my offline files modified will be lost, losing in
consequence days of work .
Is it possible doing a “maintenance of this data cache without loosing the
modifications madeâ€.
Is it ONLY possible reboot the Database? Why lately does it happen?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
