===================================
Try the following steps.

Open your My Pictures folder.

Go to...View / List...

Hold your Shift key down and
go to...View / Thumbnails.

How to ask a newsgroup question:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375

1. Hidden folders?
Click on My Pictures folder to highlight it in blue.
Click on Tools, Folder options and View tab.
Scroll down and select "Show hidden files and folders.
Open My Pictures. Are the folders there?
If so, you can remove the hidden attribute by right click on the folder, and
click on Properties.
Then reset the default to Do not show hidden...

2.You move the folders somewhere?
To find them:
Click on Start and Search
Click on Options and Pictures,Music Video.
In the textbox "All or part of the filename" enter a photo file name (it
does not have to be exact name, something close) and search.
This will return the photo in the find window. Right click on it and click
on Open the folder where this file is located. If you change the View of
this find window from Thumbnails to Details you will also get the location
of this photo.
If you keep the file name assigned by your digital camera, enter only the
first 4 characters of a file name. The search will return all the pictures
taken by this camera.
Instead of entering a file name in the textbox, you can type in exactly
this:
*.jpg
and search.
This will return all the photo files (jpg) on your hard drive. You can then
find were they are located, as above.
