Folder List

I have just upgraded to Oulook 2002 from 2k and it seems I can not find a way to get outlook to expand the folder list when it recieves new mail. I have over 250 folders and this means that I have to go through and manually expand each one to see if the new mail came into that folder. How do I correct this issue
