folder list width

I would like to be able to rename outlook today or at
least take off what is tacked on after the Outlook today
to make that shorter when viewing in the Folder List View.
That way when I click on Outlook Today in the Folder List
View it won't have the scroll bar at the bottom. Let me
know if there is a way to keep the folder list width the
way it is and not have it place the scroll bar at the
bottom when I click on Outlook today.
