Hello,
I am a newbie to msi and have an installation project with a defect, which I
am to fix. It would be a great help for me if anybody could give me a hint
in which direction I should have a look to fix the defect. So I will
describe the circumstances and defect here and I would be very grateful for
any hints!
description:
The defect appears when installing/uninstalling on a windows2000 pro
machine.
Under one directory structure, let's say
c:\ProgramFiles\MyProductGroup\MyProductA several different installation
packages are installed. For example a package db installs a folder db under
c:\ProgramFiles\MyProductGroup\MyProductA.
The final structure looks like this:
c:\ProgramFiles\MyProductGroup\MyProductA\db\....\...
c:\ProgramFiles\MyProductGroup\MyProductA\F1\...
c:\ProgramFiles\MyProductGroup\MyProductA\F2\...
The different packages are installed and uninstalled in a special order.
After uninstalling the folder structure c:\MyProductGroup\MyProductA is
left.
Thanx in advance
Melanie
