Folder in IE Favorites Keeps Disappearing

I've recently installed XP Pro SP2 with IE 6.1. All updates have been
installed. I imported my saved favorites and they all imported fine. However,
when I shut down and reboot and then go back into Favorites ONE folder has
vanished. I can import again and it is ok, but I don't want to have to keep
exporting my Favorites everytime I add a new favorite ( so I don't lose any
addtions) and then re-import each time.

Any suggestions?

Hi Brent :-)

Have to checked to see if it is being placed at the bottom of the list for
some reason? When I create a new folder, it will be placed at the bottom of
the list until I re-alphabetize them, then they show up in the folder group
as they should.

You might also take a look at this free utility to manage your Favorites.
Works a treat in mmay ways.

This allows you to save them permanently in a different folder and
re-associate your favorites with the stored icons. It also verifies whether
your links in Favorites are still good.

Hope this helps.

Yes after I reimport the favorites the folder that was missing is placed at
the bottom of the list. I then alphabetize them but it still disappears on
the next reboot. As the problem computer is at home, and I am not, I will try
your suggested utility when I get back home and let you know.

Thanks for your input.
