One of my contact folders has vanished - but it still is available to choose
from when I send. I can also get the properties for these contacts.

How do I get this folder back - it's six weeks of information (I know, back
up more often).

Thanks!

Provide at least some information please.
Vanished from where?
Appears where?
Outlook version?
Steps that produced the problem?

Hit Ctrl+6 - do you see it in the folder list? If we know where it vanished
from and your outlook version, we can tell you how to put it back.

Hi Russ,

Its 2003 (11.6359.6360) SP1

I made a new folder in contacts and moved the data from two other folders in
contacts to the new one. I deleted the old folders (they never showed up in
trash).

When I went to open the new folder - it was gone.

The data lives on though. If I go to address book, I can see the name of
the folder in "show names from the" drop down list and I also can open the
entries and copy them to another folder.

How do I get the folder to be visible again?

What you describe is not possible.
You cannot have entries in the Outlook Address Book that do not reside in a
Contacts Folder in your profile.
You cannot delete items without their going to the Deleted Items Folder.
Examine Folder List more carefully or provide a more accurate description of
what happened.

Sorry Russ - this is what it is.

They all just showed up in deleted - they weren't there before.

Also the export/import function only shows the Archive folder as a source or
destination - something is **Very** corrupted

I thought there was more to this story. And there still is.
I have never seen a case where items "autodelete."
Your question about import and export seems totally unrelated but makes me
suspect you are about to share the rest of this story with us. Please do.
You can set any folder you want as the destination for export or import.
Archive is simply the default. The mere fact that you were using this wizard
I suspect tells us how you lost your data. I can't think of any reason to
use it unless you had another type of data you needed to convert to
Outlook's format.
