Have a look at this page: Size Limitations in NTFS and FAT File Systems http://www.microsoft.com/library/sh...p?dtcnfg=/technet/treeview/deeptreeconfig.xml It's specifically for WinXP, but the limits depend on the FILE system (FAT, NTFS, etc.) rather than the OPERATING system (Win9x/ME, Win2K/XP, etc.), so your answer should be there. Remember that, to Windows, a folder is "just another file". RC
