Folder Display...

Hi...

I have customized the display of some of my folders and their contents to be
thumbnail view for easier browsing of pictures and images but for some
unknown reason, they occasionally get reset to 'Tiles' view without my
knowledge.

Not a major problem as I can reset them all again afterwards but I was
wondering if anyone is able to advise me how to permanently set them as
thumbnail view...or until I want to reset them??

Hi nick,

WindowsXP will remember the settings of up to 400 folders, after that it
starts forgetting some. See this from MVP Kelly for a way to increase this
number:

Line 2, increase the folder view size limit to 8000

Hi Rick,

Many thanks for replying.

I downloaded and ran the reg tweak you advised - since then, someone else
has advised me to run a vbs script detailing the folder settings.

So, hopefully..all is resolved.
