I recently installed a new pc and now when I turn the pc on, a folder with
the files for the printer is displayed. I have tried going to the run feature
from the start button and typing msconfig, but I get an error message the
file is not found. The operating system is Windows 2000 Pro.

How do I stop this folder from being displayed each time I start up the pc?

Thanks for any help.

While someone in the group might happen to be able to help you this is really
not the place for this question. This group deals with Windows Defender Beta
software which is an AntiSpyware product. You might try a search of more
general newsgroups. By the way, why do you "needhelpfast"? This does not
sound like a critical problem. Is there more to it?

Did you install Defender on this new computer?

I tried posting in Windows 2000 Specific and I kept getting errors. The name
is left over from a time when I did need help very fast.

This issue has nothing to do with WIndows Defender or spyware, probably.

Read this thread--probably best to read the whole thread before
investigating--this is a generic Windows snafu--you may find that a startup
item references something which is no longer in that folder, or something
like that.
