OS: Win2000 Adv. server
I have on my server folders including My Documents and some network drives
that I'd like to keep from users. We turn off the server everysingle night,
so whoever comes in early morning needs to turn on the server and login. As
you can see that user easily can access to all network drives and folders of
the server. How I can secure certain folders and network drives on the
server? What options do I have?
Any help appriciated
Newby,

Is there anyone who can tell me how to secure the folders and drives other
than keeping the server on?

Well, all the folders and drives will be available to the network when the
server is powered up without anyone actually logging on - so as long as
whoever fires up the server doesn't have a logon that allows them to see the
drives and folders, there shouldn't be a problem.

thank you Peter,
