Folder Access

I have a folder in Win XP that had one user listed as full control. that
user was accidently deleted from active directory. We added it back. Now
that user cannot access this folder in question. admin does not have rights
to folder either. is there a way to gain access to this folder again?

The administrator needs to claim ownership of the folder and then reset the
permissions.
