anyone know how it compares to irfanview ?

My main use for Irfanview (and XnView) is as a viewer. I like the way
both are capable of opening an image in a separate, dedicated window.
Viewers that have the main viewing window as a side frame to the
thumbnails are wasting screen real estate IMO.
