Is there a way to make a picture on a screen fly off to
the right after a certain amount of time or upon a mouse
click? All I can figure out is how to make things fly and
appear ON.

I sent this same note about an hour ago and someone tried
to answer it but all that came up in their response
was: "Message Unavailable."

Thanks!

Hi Milo,

Bill said:
If you have PowerPoint 2002 or 2003 versions you can use the "Exit
Animations".

That was strange! Where did my post reply go to? I thought I remembered
posting this, but now that I am visiting new posts, don't see it!

Maybe your post flew OFF the newsgroup instead if into it <g>?

Milo posted the question twice. You answered the earlier post.

Now I hate myself for not having taken advantage of you in your hour of
confusion.

No ...wait.

That'll be $25 for the couseling session.

There. Now I feel better.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

This is the kind of thing that is very easy to do if you have the right
version of PowerPoint.

Exit animation effects were added to PowerPoint with the release of
PowerPoint 2002 for Windows and PowerPoint 2001 for the Macintosh. With
those versions as well as the latest versions of both products (PowerPoint
2003 for Windows, PowerPoint X for Macintosh OS X), adding an exit
animation effect is very easy to do. Since my main focus in PowerPoint for
Windows, I'll describe the steps for PowerPoint 2002 and 2003:

1) Select Object
2) Slide Show -> Custom Animation <this brings up the Custom Animation
(CA) task pane>
3) In the CA task pane click the Add Effect button and choose one of the
effects available from the Exit menu.

Sorry about the double posting, Bill. I posted it again
when all the responses I was getting (including yours)
were showing up as "response unavailable" or something
like that. Rather than leave it with you thinking I'd
gotten my answer, I posted again.

Looks like whatever system error was occurring at the time
is fine now.

No problem. Glad to hear it's fixed! At least you could find your previous
post. I couldn't! HA!
