Flush data after EWF commit

Out application should run on a CF Device. We use the EWF and it works
with one exception.

Problem:
We need to store our transaction data permanent because they are
'mission critical'. If we call "ewfmgr commit" the data are not
written immediately but for us it is important that they are
immediately written (money data...).

Question:
Is it possible to force a write to the CF ? (Calls to the EWF, disk
manager....) ?

How is it done by the shutdown ?
