Flow Chart Boxes...

Does anyone know if there is a way to add additional lock points to a flow
chart box? For example, I have several different inputs to a single activity
and I would like to be able to show all the lines connecting to it separately
(rather than having all the arrows overlap at the single lock point on the
top).

I know there are 4 lock points on each shape, but is it possible to add more?

I also know I can manually position the arrow to a different space, but then
if I make a change, I have to re-position both ends since the manual
positioning breaks the lock on both sides.

Two ways:

1. Add a short line that starts and end at where you would like two "lock
points" set its color to none and group it with the flowchart shape.

2. Use the freeform tool to trace over the flowchart shape, right click and
edit points. Right click again where you want the lock point and add point.

Again set fill and line to none and group.

Hi John,

Thanks, Number 2 is the closer of the two options... I wish there was a way
to "edit points" of the existing flow chart shape.

I couldn't get Method 3 to work :) no big deal though... maybe this was a
product improvemt in Office 2007 (not likely but you never know...)

What version of PPT do you use and how did you insert a flow chart?
