Has anyone any info regarding an actual hardware floppy emulator.
A device that would connect to the PC's floppy cable and simulate a floppy.
Thanks in advance.

Plug a floppy drive on it. They only cost pennies nowadays.

I need to have a device that connects to a floppy port that doesnt need
floppy's
Data can be written to it that a pc can read as if a floppy is there.

How about a floppy drive? They cost about 5 USD.

The closest thing I can think of is a steel floppy that I once had for
my Fuji digital camera. It would allow you to put a SmartMedia card
into the "floppy," and be read by the floppy drive as if it were a real
floppy.

Here is a version of what I'm talking about:

can;t think of any h/w solution
but there ise virtual floppy drive software that *might*be of use
depending on what you are doing

I am a hardware/software engineer and I have been given a project to
research/design.
I need to use the existing pc floppy interface with NO FLOPPY DISK to
get/send data from another device.

IIRC, many old tape drives also used the floppy cable.

But why even bother with the old floppy interface? THe things were
obsolete since they were invented. And floppy controllers are
disappearing from motherboards.

Anyway, look here. Someone is working an a prototype. Now if you can
figure out how to contact the submitter. Well, that's your job.
