Hi Windows XP tells me my floppy drive is working fine,But I can't save anything to it or retrieve any thing off of any floppies can some one tell me how to fix this problem.
I have had problems with floppies ever-since going to XP. I have tried every
suggestion made and have come to the conclusion that there is a fault in the
drivers in some XP disks. Some people have no problems and others do.
I have installed the 3 mode driver from the link in the following article
and since used floppies in my XP machine, as well as a 98 and 2K machine
with no problems. It is a recent installation and have not had a chance to
really see if it is a cure. You may want to give it a try. The article is
