Floppy drive

I have Windows 2000 Professional installed and I keep
receiving the message that the disk needs to be
formatted. Every disk I try gives me the same error.
All the disks are formatted.

Try formatting one of those diskettes on that machine and
see if the same message occurs. If it does, that floppy drive
probably needs replacing. If it doesn't, then the access arm
adjustments either of the machine that formatted the diskettes or of the
machine that won't read them are so far out of alignment that one can't
find the tracks laid down by the other.

There's a chance also that the floppies are all defective. Very small
chance.

I'm guessing one or the other floppy drives is bad. (head offset) Symptoms
are floppy works in the drive it was last written from but not in another
drive.
