When I try to access my floppy A: drive I get the error
message: A:\ not accessible. Incorrect Function. I have
even gone as far as to replace the drive. The drive is
enabled and troubleshhot states that it is working
properly. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the so-
called driver via troubleshoot. Any suggestions? Thanks

Check the power to the floppy drive. And make sure the
cable is round the right way.

it could be possible that your FDD controller on your
motherboard is faulty.

its highly unlikely, but your ribbon cable could be faulty
also.

As Jigsaw said, check the cables.
Also "floppy drive seek" must be enabled in bios (to determine wether it's
40 or 80-tracks), and other floppy - relative settings must be set
accordingly in BIOS.
