floppy doesn't exist!!

My computer doesn't seem to know that it has a floppy
drive. There is no option to access it from word or
whatever. In the device manager it says that it is there
and working fine, but it isn't. Can you help?

It needs to be set up in the BIOS, methinks. Try going into the BIOS when
the machine boots and select the option to detect what drives you have. It
should find it there. Save and quit. Windows should then detect it.
