floppy disk drive

everytime i put a floppy disk in the drive it comes up
this disk is not formatted but when i go to format it it
comes up cannot format disk but its not write protected.

Hi,

Go to device manager, double click the folppy disk
controller card, right click on the standard folppy disk
controller card and click remove. Click apply and
confirm. Reboot and let windows search and re-install the
drivers.
