Formatting is just fokelore crap you read on newsgroups. Take it from me all
you do is go out to the store buy some floppies and use them you don't
format anything get it? You must have ringing sounds in your ears from
hearing that word format from other people. I can honestly say i have never
in my life ever formatted a floppy and will never, ever format a floppy. The
other people could and can say the same thing but they'd rather give you the
run-around with things they've read and actually believe in their minds all
those lies from reading the same things too many times.

Maybe.....maybe not. In either case, formatting is a simple thing to do. One
can format the disk and get on with their task.

Never made a boot floppy huh?

They can be good things. Only way I will flash a bios is with a boot floppy.

Formatting a floppy hurts nothing, unless you have date on it ya don't want
to lose..

Because of the individual nuances of diskette drives, it pays to format on
the drive where it will be used.. it does not take long to do..

Not at all, it is basic troubleshooting advice.
XP has a problem with some floppy drives and disks, asking them to format
the floppy helps us tell the OP what could be the proiblem.

Take it from
me

Perhaps they shouldn't.

Only you must "get It".

Confirms my above advice.

What???? Troubleshooting is a lie?
LOL
