Greetings from Downunder
In 2007 how does one get an image to truly "flip" or "mirror reverse"? Every
time I try it I end up with an image that has simply rotated 180 degrees.
All help always gratefully received

Hi Carl

Hello from Adelaide :-) To flip a picture, grab the handle at the side and
drag it over the centre of the picture & beyond - if you hold ctrl while you
do this it flips on the centre axis so it's easy to size. If you don't get
the sizing right you can alter it -> right click -> size & position (it will
tell you the original size at the bottom).

Hi Lucy
This is always what I have done in the past. Now that I have 2007, and
EVERYTHING seems to be different, I can no longer get this simple little
function to work. Is this the case for everyone, or is it just my copy of
PPT 2007?
And ... if it ain't busted -- why try and fix it?

Hi Carl

I tested it in 2007 before I posted so I guess it's just you :-( Can you
flip other images? Can you flip other image file types? Can you flip shapes?
You could always try using the picture as fill for an autoshape then fliping
the autoshape...

Try detect & repair: Office Button -> PowerPoint Options -> Resources ->
Diagnose

Oh, and if you are used to 2003 get this - I find it invaluable:
Where have all the commands gone

Thank you all for your help.
Specifically, it was Word Art I was trying to flip, to no avail

Hi Lucy
That worked ... and I would NEVER have worked that out for myself.
Now how do I SKEW that flipped WordArt to about 30 degrees from the
vertical?
Many thanks
