Flip 3D Comes and goes

Greetings. This feature [tray icon] did not appear for weeks, lasted for
two weeks and now it is gone again. Nothing was done to the system. Key
commands have not worked. Guidance sought
 
This may not be the best way, but I have a workaround that I just figured for
myself. The path to Flip is set out below, as it appears on my laptop. If you
can't see "App Data" you will have to go to control Panel/Folder Options and
change the options so that hidden folders will show up.

C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

Once you find the file you can create a shortcut to your desktop and that
should work. No doubt a real expert could tell you something better, but this
is better than nothing.
