Agreed. I also suggest(ed) deleting the installation folder if the
uninstallation process fails to remove it. We're on the same page.

| IF you installed the update available on the Microsoft site you WILL
| first need to uninstall the update as a separate uninstallation. Read
| the notes on Microsoft's site carefully about the sequence AND
| requirement to manually delete the backup folder.

| Sorry Dave and Jimmy, the FS 2004 install isn't at all cooperative if a
| damaged installation is already present on the hard drive. All you get
| is a pop-up that says you have to uninstall it first. I've seen reports
| that a simple folder deletion takes care of what the uninstaller doesn't
| (files from add-on planes etc).
