I just upgraded my windows xp to service pack 2 and then i tried to install
flight simulator x onto my pc and the i would put the disc into the cd drive
and then nothing would come up and i tried installing through add or remove
programs and the disc wasn't being read and no error messages came up at all.

i've just got a new pc with vista and a dvd drive. but it fails to read disc
1 although it reads disk 2 no probs. basically all that happens is the
dvd-rom goes in and then the drive starts trying to read but gets nowhere.
ive also tried to explore the disc for the setup file but as the disc is not
recognised this is unsuccessfull. if anyone knows how to over come this issue
please reply....

Make sure the CD is clean, with no scratches. You might also try the CD in a
different computer and see if it works. If not, and if it's a new purchase,
you can return it to the store for a defective CD.

CD? I thought FS X was on DVDs.

Yesterday I needed to uninstall my fsx to fix so problems but after doing
all that work I put in the fsx CD1 and my CD Rom drive doesn't read the CD1,
I try puting in the fsx CD2 and that works I even try others CD and it all
work. I try the Fsx CD1 on my mom computer and it work so it can't be the CD1
