Request for help with FS04 ILS Approach Issue
Despite some very useful instructions posted on the forums, I am still having trouble flying an ILS approach and landing in the King Air. When I activate the APPR button, I line up with the runway perfectly, but the aircraft does not descend.
I am flying an ILS flight plan. When ATC provides the initial approach course, I switch from NAV to HDG. ALT and AP are still engaged. The correct frequency is entered in NAV1 and that radio is switched on. I hear the Morse code ident. I manually fly to intercept the localizer as instructed by ATC. When I am at the localizer and at the correct altitude (even tried 100 feet low), I switch from GPS to NAV and from HDG to APPR. The aircraft centers on the runway, but remains at the approach altitude.
Where am I going wrong?
