Flickering problem on scrolling a page in FP

Hi,

I have been having this issue now with FP for some time, but today I decided
I needed answers.
When I view a pagge in FP in code view and I scroll to the bottom of the
page, I get a serious flicker and the page keeps trying to jump up one line.
This flicker has now started to appear when I am typing.
Every time I hit a letter, the few lines around around the line that I am on
flick out the back in. The eefect is very fast but very annoying.
It doesn't actually cause any issues with my page, or with any other MSO
products.

If anyone knows of a solution/patch/bug fix, I would be greatly appreciative.

Paul,
First thing I would check is to see which version of your graphics
card driver you are running as there may be a newer version available or the
particular driver family has some odd bugs in it. Screen flicker is often
caused by an error in the repainting of a screen by the graphics driver. It
could be that there's just an error in one of the methods that the driver
implements. Often, checking to see if there is a more updated version of a
graphics driver will fix this problem. Sometimes you even have to go to an
eralier version if the bug exists with the current one (this has happened
before for lots of different driver manufacturers). I had an ATI card that
for a few months had this issue with powerpoint until they corrected the
problem in a later driver release. Most graphics card manufacturers release
new drivers every couple months or even monthly as they constantly
tweak/fix/optimize their drivers.

More likely it's your video card (so, not a FP problem).

Update your video card drivers.
