Flatbed scanner in XPE

Has anyone had any success getting a flatbed scanner working in XPE? If so
what kind was it?

Which model? I have tried the Canon LIDE 90 and 8400 and neither of the
drivers will install.

Are you trying to install the driver on an existing build of XPe?

If so, that is dependent on which components were included in the
build. It is quite common to not include support for driver and
program installation.
 
It was the Cannon LiDE 25.

Mike is correct. There are imaging support components that are needed in the
XPe image for the scanner to run properly.

The build has the following components:

Windows Image Acquisition Core
Windows Image Acquisition User Interface
Class Installer: Imaging devices
 
I added a bunch of arbitrary scanners in Target Designer, rebuilt the image
and now it works. Not sure why but thanks.

Looks like the missing file was STI.INF
