Hi,
I got an old Computer with an Asus P55T2P4 revision 3.10 mainboard from a
colleague. I had the 3.0 revision of this board a long time ago, and I
remember having flashed it's BIOS successfully. Unfortunately, I didn't
manage to flash the BIOS of the newer version of the board. Asus offers the
aflash utility for doing so. I booted from a MS DOS 6.22 floppy without
autoexec.bat and any memory managers like I'm told by the documentation,
but the initial screen of aflash tells me "Flash Memory Type: Unknown". In
news groups, the suggestion is to use another flash utility like pflash in
this case, but I didn't find any download location for this. Any advice?
Is it possible that revision 3.10 of the P55T2P4 does not have a flashable
BIOS anymore? Compared to the older revision, the quality seems a little
bit more simple (not to say cheap) in general, in fact I would not be
surprised if Asus saved another few pennies here.
Thanks for your help!
Timo
